Wesley's First Birthday Party!

Today was Wesley's first birthday party! We hosted his party at the North Creek park just down the street from our house in Bothell. We left the boys with Mao and Pop and headed down early to get the party all set up. Pop had cut rounds from our Skykomish trees to work as serving plates for his Winnie the Pooh theme. 

After Brad and I had been setting up for a few minutes we realized it was going to be way too hot for the kids to play for very long at the playground. I texted our friends that were coming and asked them to bring squirt guns and buckets for water. The kids had a marvelous time spraying each other and getting all wet. It was about 87 degrees today!

Brad drew a giant Eeyore for the kids to play Pin the Tail on Eeyore!

Next the kids played drop the Pooh bear in the jar! The kids loved eating the gummy bears and trying to drop them in the jar. 

Then it was time to sing to our birthday boy! Declan got his candle ready and helped him blow it out! Wesley dug right into his cake and loved it! He was covered in frosting!

Last Wesley got to open his presents! He was excited to see all of his toys and books. He even got a new hat and some beautiful clothes!
